Prison Architect
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on June 22nd, 2015 @ 10:59PM

My horrible looking prison, haha

From Random

Game is still $5 for 9 hours. Steam - don't miss out. I have 21 hours played.

6/19 - Got 9 hours on my prison. It's still a complete mess but it's getting a little more organized. haha. I just have these holding cells with like 150 people in them in a glob. It's so funny. I created one giant ass holding cell.

6/17 - Played again until 2:40 a.m. not wanting to. Game is so awesome and addicting.

Playing last night. It was so addicting, that I didn't notice it was 2:40 a.m. My prison looks like total crap compared to other pictures I've seen.

Perfect game to go with Orange is the new black as you watch.

I do enjoy PA quite a bit, but what I`ve found is that it eventually becomes Prison Janitor, as you are forced to manually disassemble the toilets in each cell block nearly daily (hmm.. as of this writing I decided I`m an idiot for not using metal detectors at the entrances to my kitchen and mess hall to keep spoons out. That would probably help a lot). Anyway, it is a lot of fun, but I hope they add a little more spontaneity and unpredictability to the game.

Papers, Please
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on June 22nd, 2015 @ 1:43PM

I was playing this one last night, really late.

Papers please.. It was on the steam sale.

It's pretty cold/fun except the controls kinda bite. I guess that's part of the challenge. I recommend it.

I got this and me and my daughter were playing it. here. You have to have a controller and both sticks control a different brother. It's pretty confusing/hard to get to used to as each one has to be sent in different directions etc. It's something new to learn that you've never had to learn before.

It's pretty original game and looks pretty cool. The puzzles haven't been so bad.

Alien Isolation
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on June 16th, 2015 @ 11:21AM

Started it last night. The graphics look pretty good. It's so scary and I haven't even got to the aliens yet.

Top scary games for me have been Bioshock 1, Fallout 3 (going into buildings).

It's a hard game. I don't play much, but when I do, it's usually 1 or 2 save points before I die. You can use the flamethrower somewhat once you get it, but...I hate that alien.

Resident Evil 2 in complete darkness was really scary.

Do you know what made Bioshock 1 Scary? It wasn't the darkness, but how easily you can be killed. On hard mode, 2-3 hits and you are dead. I jumped at EVERYTHING... then put it on easy mode, and after a few attacks at the beginning, it stops being scary at all when something jumps out at you, claws your face and you lose a sliver of health like you were made of steel.

After a bit of that I set it to normal and beat the game. I have since gone back and beat it on hard mode with Vita-chambers turned off, and it was fun, but I knew when something was going to come at me. I might have to try out Alien Isolation.

This looks awesome, I like the style and love sim games like this. Reminds me of the old-school Railroad Tycoon games which were some of my favorites.
