IN RESPONSE TO: ug, ebay newb

Don't sell anything valuable until you've got some feedback under your belt. I suspect people are wary of big purchases until they can trust a seller as reputable. I started my ebay career small buying and selling trinkets to build up a reputation and gain experience before diving into bigger transactions.

Also, for any item you're selling it's worth spending a bit of time researching pricing trends. If supply is short you can undercut the cheapest seller by a small amount to push your item to the top of searches.

We're doing a Disney cruise in August and making a stop at Castaway Cay. Anything you'd recommend I check out while there?

Interesting. I'll try that search engine elevator.

For me, in the past I've made money selling things on Ebay and doing the occasional Web Development freelance assignment. I'm also really strict about spending money and avoid paying for loans as much as possible (paid off college loans first and always buy cards outright).

I think the era of blogs are over thanks to the popularity of Facebook and Twitter. People may visit to get caught up with news or subscribe to an RSS feed, but it seems people are more willing to share discussions on social media instead.

IN RESPONSE TO: Battlefield 1: Launch Trailer

I'm skipping this generation of DICE shooters. Battlefront left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm sick of the $60 season passes.

Seriously considering Titanfall 2. It's getting great reviews on Metacritic and all future DLC will be free.

IN RESPONSE TO: Captain America: Civil War

I thought it had great action and humor. My only gripe, which is a common problem with most super hero movies, is how incredibly convenient the plot worked out. There were so many points of failure in his grand designs to undermine the Avengers, but it all worked out flawlessly.

Also Black Widow is able to attack and subdue multiple armed goons with her neat flip attacks, while none of them even think to fire their weapons.

IN RESPONSE TO: Can a video game company tame toxic behaviour?

Try playing a fighting game online. I've never received more hate mail than I did when playing Tekken or Injustice Xbox online. Some people would even send me recorded voice messages of just them cussing me out, which of course I'd retaliate. It's even better when you encounter them later on and destroy them again.

There was a character in Tekken Tag 2 that would drop into a sitting position and glide across the ground, knocking you down. Unless you timed it perfectly you could get caught into a trap of constant knockdowns, and I'd do this just to troll people. The ensuing rage mail I got had me in tears.

Video game forums are the worst when it comes to toxic people. You see it constantly.
