IN RESPONSE TO: Ug
I always picked up nearby fast food or brought food from home over the cafe. That place was awful and overpriced when I worked there. I usually spent meal vouchers on snacks instead.

"October 2, 2007"
Admitting to it almost 9 years ago, apparently.

IN RESPONSE TO: Wildstar developer Carbine Studios lays off nearly half of its staff
I only work at places that I think there will be long-term job security. A lot of people I know left for high-paying positions elsewhere for unproven companies with lofty goals. I don't touch start-ups or studios working on "WoW-killers." I left for an established studio with no track record of layoffs and low turnaround for a modest pay bump and lower cost-of-living.

IN RESPONSE TO: Happy 16th birthday Dreamcast!
Somebody was throwing a Dreamcast w/ games away at work two months. Good games like Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi. I dug that out of the trash and took it home.

Err.. Google is only thinking about bringing it to Irvine and discussing with city leaders on the possibility.

That's because you started working at Blizzard before it became a prerequisite to work there.

The cancelled Marvel comics are because of the upcoming Secret Wars event which will likely change the face of Marvel universe.

"Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever, Lifetime's holiday gift of a really long, scripted cat video[...] As previously reported, Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties director Tim Hill has co-written that script"
How about titling it "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Movie Possible"?

IN RESPONSE TO: Van hit AGAIN
I love when people change their story to a car accident later. I had a couple run a red light and we got into an accident with them. They apologized and admitted fault. Later, they recanted saying *we* ran the red light. I even had their original story recorded on my phone, albeit without their knowledge. In the end, each party paid for our own vehicle.

IN RESPONSE TO: Max Max Trailer
Fury Road is a sequel to Beyond Thunderdome with the lead role recast, not a remake or reboot. Mad Max is continuity light so any movie can be a jumping on point.

IN RESPONSE TO: People Kept Complaining This Restaurant Sucked, Look What They Found Out…
I believe this article is completely fake.
1. Where is the link to the Craigslist post? Or even a screenshot of it?
2. This is an anonymous restaurant. Nobody can even verify this was ever true.
3. The only surviving old tapes happen to be about exactly 10 years old to the day? That seems suspiciously convenient.
4. Half the customers ask the waiter for a group photo? What is this, Disneyland?
5. The final closing paragraph is written like a "share this" viral message. In fact, the entire "article" is pictures written and sloppily done like a typical viral message one would see on Facebook.

IN RESPONSE TO: Cafe
I typically brought lunch to work. Fresh N Easy is a grocery chain that has phenomenal lunch items in their refrigerator section. Check them out. The only positive thing I can say about the cafe was that their breakfast items were good. Otherwise, yeah... No. I rarely ever used my meal vouchers.
Flame Broiler is nearby and pretty good. There is a Japanese restaurant and Peruvian across the street. My former coworkers liked the Japanese place. I never ate there myself.

IN RESPONSE TO: Price of Beef and Bacon Reach All-Time High
"[..]with the index for meats, poultry, fish and eggs up 7.5 percent"
So the increased cost for meat is outpacing cost of living increases for people then. Non-poultry items are getting pretty expensive in my opinion.

IN RESPONSE TO: Drive-Thru Windows
I used to work at Taco Bell as a cashier many years ago and we were forced to spew out our latest offers. I used to say things to the effect of, "Welcome to Taco Bell! Before you order, my manager requires me to badger you about our blah-blah combo and if you would like your combos in large size. Anywho, how many I take order?" Also, we were required to fill your cup nearly to the top with ice.

I fight ants whenever possible by pouring baking soda and vinegar on their colonies. It works quite wells to eradicate them for a while.

In other words, somebody would likely die from water poisoning long before they could even consume that much caffeine from those drinks.

What Hammer said. I use WD Black and Green drives myself and have no complaints. The computers they are in have been always on for over a year and a half. SSDs failure rate is laughably bad.

IN RESPONSE TO: Life is sucking
That's one reason I left California. I felt like I was never overcoming cost of living no matter how much I made. I make more money at my current company than my previous one, sales tax is much lower, gas is 80 cents cheaper, my car insurance dropped by half, and my mortgage on my new 3400 sqft house is cheaper than rent for my old two bedroom apartment in Orange County.
