Nebu's Gangland Stories: Gang Chases Me
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on January 27th, 2012 @ 11:21AM

I used to ride my bicycle all over town by myself. If you look at the map. I went all along the length of the 8 freeway south/east of it. All the way, way up to the mountains by myself. That's probably why I'm such an independent person, in addition to being an only child. I was used to being on my own from about 2nd grade.

I was maybe 12-13. I had a flat on my scooter(EXAMPLE)(the old kind with real tires like bikes). I took the tire off and I had to bicycle it 2-4 miles to the bike shop to fix it. I got a few miles from my house when this gang of kids started following me. I didn't even do anything to taunt them or anything. Just riding my bike down the street. They started following me. I have no idea how old they even were. Maybe they were way older. I was a non violent bible kid back then. I remembered that what you should do is go to a public place. So as they chased me I went to like a farmer's market and parked my bike outside and went inside. They chased me inside and then one of them came over to me and pushed me down. They kicked my bike over but didn't steal it or anything. After that, they left me alone. I was real worried about getting home. I continued to the bike shop and then I think I went another direction to get home.

It's things like that which totally influence who you are and how you turn out. I certainly lost a lot of trust in the world after that. Maybe today when I am suspicious about people or what they are doing, it's because of things like that happening to me.

Nebu's Gangland Stories: Streets of Rage
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on January 26th, 2012 @ 9:41AM

Remember Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, Final Fight? I got to see that live in front of my house. It's hard to remember exactly the events because it was like 1983-1985. There was this guy going along and these guys all showed up and surrounded him. It was like he owed them money or something and they were coming to collect. So the guy started fighting them. Then he ran all the way into our garage and said "give me a wrench, give me a bat or something." My dad goes NO! So the guy grabs one of our brooms and goes back and tries to hit the guys with it. Only the broom was weak and broke. HAHAHHA. Then me and my friend were so scared we were hiding inside and just peaking out just over the front window behind the curtains. I don't know what happened after that. I think they all left or moved down the street. I wish there was some epic conclusion. But I'll always remember Streets of Rage live. I don't think we even called the police. In today's age you'd just call the police.

Nah in today's age, we'd film it and put it on youtube.
And you know that in most areas, there'd be someone shouting advice to each side to spice up the melee. ;)

California: Home of Bad Neighbors
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on January 25th, 2012 @ 11:16PM

  • 1/25/12 Retelling: In late 1980s, I come out to my back yard on Christmas morning and my brown bunny is missing a fucking head! ON CHRISTMAS DAY. I was maybe 13-14 years old. Our next door neighbors had a TEEN. This kid sat in his garage all day TRYING to play the guitar. He was horrible. I think I've never seen any worse guitar player in my life. It didn't even resemble music. I admit I did yell out you suck out the window a few times. Which is probably why he killed my bunny. But what kinda sack of shit does that? A serial killer is who. I bet that guys dead or in jail or something. It would be interesting to find out.

Later on this kid got kicked out of his home by his parents. So he goes back and he leaves their family cat on the door without a head also. What a sack of shit. That cat was around for 5-10 years. Everyone knew the cat. He used to ride his bike around with a snake around his neck. His dad decided to kill himself with carbon monoxide by sitting in his car in the garage. He was a body builder and was handsome and buff. But he fucked up and survived and ended up paralyzed. AND THIS IS THE KINDA SHIT YOU GET FOR NEIGHBORS PEOPLE. So why don't we know our neighbors? This is why.

And people, I have plenty of more stories.

    More Stories:

    Drug House
    Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on February 10th, 2008 @ 12:59AM

I was about 5 years old. Across the street there was always a mass of traffic. There was tons of people going to this house. I seem to remember something about mopeds. Those crappy bicycles with motors on them. Then we discover, there was a drug house across the street. What's really funny is there was a SHERIFF (see previous story) right two houses away. So, for once in my life, I did live right next to a drug lab/house. (as far as I know).

    My First Cop Experience
    Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on September 16th, 2007 @ 12:07AM

We had these neighbors. The dad was a SHERIFF. He named his kids SUNNY and RAINY, and their last name was DAY. Well, I was friends with them at age 5. One day I got to ride to school in the cop car. Which was the coolest. But then...

They said they're moving. They had this dog that the whole neighborhood loved. They told my family, hey watch for us for a week. Then we'll come get it. Well. They never came back and we couldn't contact them at all. They had lied to us and just wanted to offload their dog on us.

So, we tried to take care of it but we couldn't. We were forced to call the pound to take it. The truck showed up and the whole neighborhood showed up to say goodbye to the dog. Then it was hauled away.

The Sheriff was just a dog abandoning lying fuck. And that was the first cop I knew personally.
