Phone Scam Warning: Travel Services US

Update: called the company the next day. They said to call a different group. We called them and they said NON REFUNDABLE. Which of course is the opposite of what they said when we signed up. 72 hours. Then we told them we could by law. They said OK but refused to give us a confirmation number for our refund. Then hung up on us. Then we called again and they said they'd do it within 7-30 days for a refund. Which of course means they'll never give it to you. They charged my credit card $400.
So I went to the credit card company and they said they'd block the charge but want me to fill out some form. So they haven't reversed it yet.
Then I say well these idiots have my credit info now can I get a new number? They said I don't need one they would just block the company. But do you believe that? I think they can take it and now charge on it anywhere.
We had some company call us and try to sell us a cruise. At the perfectly wrong time where we're already saving for a cruise. We went for it and it turns out it's a massive scam. Now I called up the credit card company they said they'd take care of it for us.
Normally I'd never fall for something like that but they caught us at our weakest when we're desperately wanting a cruise and saving up for one. We were watching a cruise video yesterday from Disney. I set up an account to save for a cruise. My chick's sister is going on a free cruise by someone who is a daughter of someone who runs a cruise company so she really wanted to go on her own cruise.
The lesson is never buy something when they contact you via phone or email or door to door. Only buy things when you contact them. (Push vs. pull).
