O Canada

Update: 9/23/2016 - Dammit. Went on their site and found out the wait time is 5 fucking months!

Sent in my application yesterday. I hope I make it.

Update: filled out most of my application and collected pictures. I have to renew my US passport first, then use that on this one. I'm also waiting for my mom to copy the docs and send them to me.

Original Post: Looks like I might be a Canadian Citizen by default. I just need $75 for the application. Poor as f. I'm 1 paycheck away from disaster. :(

Dude, if your wife / baby mama isn't working a job that produces steady income, it's time to make that happen.

Haha falcon is probably right.... or you could have her sell Plasma. She can do it while the kids are in school.

When I was out of work for 2 years I sold plasma. Hated doing it, but it was close to $300 a month in non-taxed income. If you are a fast bleeder and there is no wait, it only takes an hour (you go twice a week). You probably make more in Cali too.

I agree with BlueFalcon, time to crack the whip. No free rides! I can`t imagine trying to get by with kids and in your area with a single income, even a pretty nice one.

I have to defend HotLikeMe. A stay at home mother is a great thing for raising children if you can afford to live on a single income. You do need to have saving more than one paycheck though. Stop unnecessary spending, take less trips, get rid of pay channels, ect.

Start eating well and working out. Health discipline opens the door to discipline in the rest of your life.

I'm also going to defend your baby momma. The cost of daycare for your youngest (if she's not in school full time) would eat half her paycheck. If she has a way to work while they're in school, then great. Otherwise, kids need their parents, no one will care for them like good parents do. I think that's one big thing that's wrong with the world. Family is breaking down, kids are bitter and they grow up to be indifferent or complete a-holes (or worse....). There's always the rare exception.

haha my jealous rage grows as I have to work and do lame chores and feed the boy and take him to school. haha. But at least no one is yelling at us 24/7 when we play video games all we want.

Dland raising prices

9/6/2016

Friday I went to Disneyland. It was the worst. There were so many people that doing anything was impossible. There's just like a total GLOB (I call it) of people from the entrance to all areas with almost no room to walk. The people are waiting for the parade/fire works. Every ride was like I swear 1-2 hours wait.

They put up their halloween shit on SEPTEMBER 1st.

On top of that, so many things are closed. The train is closed for 1+ year. Haunted Mansion is closed. I think even Matterhorn was closed. Now that they closed their game division I don't have to worry about pissing them off and wanting a job someday haha. It's just sickening how low down they are about trying to milk more money out of people.

They got rid of their add their parking pass to the annual pass option. You can only renew it if you already have it. So they want you to pay $18 a visit for parking. It used to be like $12 or $100 for the year. Such mf-ers.

As I said before, they jacked the price of a turkey leg from $7 to $13.

They jacked the price of the annual passes over 5-10 years from $1000 to $2000! The cost of a cruise.

The pokemon/ingress play is AWESOME there and the only motivation I have for going. The kids are so sick of the place and don't ever want to go. Me and the mom drag them there. Me for the games, her because she loves the place for some odd reason. I never even see her having fun there.

I just want to be done with them and never go back to Disneyland again. I'm paying $150+ a month for passes.

The cruises are awesome though.

I never understood the attraction of large theme parks. While some of the activities might be fun, the extreme costs and the hordes of people make these places a nightmare.

Yeah my last amusement park I had free passes too....went there for an hour or two and decided I never wanted to visit an amusement park again. If I want that kind of experience I can wait in a line in a horde of people at an airport for free and pay less for refreshments too.

I have had annual passes for Disneyland for 15 or so years of the last 20. They have always been premium passes with free parking. When they jacked it up last time, I decided NOPE. Now that they are over a $1000 for no black-out dates. I have changed from NOPE, to NEVER.

It is a bit ridiculous to even go. I would rather use that for something else really. I used to go 3 days out of the week on average, if they were busy, I would walk around and people watch. If they weren't, I would ride. My kids were okay with that too.

So if I had to pay $3k for my family (my oldest can buy her own now), plus parking each time I went, and pay more for food, FORGET IT!!! I made a lot of good memories over the years there, I still have them.

And, if you are paying that much for a luxury item, you really can't complain about not having money any more. I'm just sayin' :-)

150/mo is a lot of money.
