Wow that Situation thing with that girl was SO low down! He eats, smokes, then goes in. Gets a cab and BYE BYE. That tranny thing was also funny and gross.
Ronnie looks like a total tard this season.
They build up that fight so much over the last two episodes then don't even really show what's going on. I guess they're dragging it on to the next episode.
They really got the best characters ever in any reality TV show. I love the fist pumping redneck that tried to hit on them in the beginning. Such an Awesome show.
Ok out of boredom we started Mad Men. It certainly is interesting. I think they did a great job of capturing the era and doing the dialog to match the time. I've watched tons of 1960s TV and their lingo is pretty good. I'm remembering phrases from other 1960s shows I've seen.
The show is pretty slow though and nothing much happens. It's a good BACKGROUND show while you're doing SC2 in a window, farmville, etc.
We finally finished watching it, all 3 seasons. My teammate makes it so hard watching like 2 episodes every 3 days.
I'd totally recommend that show. It's very original and thought provoking. You almost never know where the show is going, except a few times.
Must Watch List:
24
Rescue Me (still going)
Deadwood
Dexter
Rome
Sopranos
The Shield
Sons of Anarchy
Battlestar Galatica
Curb your Enthusiasm
Also
Entourage
It's always Sunny in Philly.
Angel, Buffy
Firefly
Babylon 5 (season 1.5 - max)
I avoided breaking bad for a while. I really, really, really have a deep seeded hatred for crystal meth. It`s taken too many decent girls and turned them into addict lying whores. Any girl who does crystal meth even one time is automatically removed from a valid selection pool of possible mates. I just hate everything about it and end up hating the people who do it. That said, breaking bad seemed to do a really good job of accurately portraying crystal meth addicts.
8/23 - Made it through all seasons of LAW & ORDER PRIME but 17/18 which I can't find. I liked the cast at the end. It was sad seeing jack not be the main focus but he did have a TON of seasons before that. It sucks watching the other spin-offs since the main show was the best. It had a decent ending to it.
I don't know about watching SVU and Criminal Intent. I guess I'll try. I really think SVU is f-ing disgusting.
Gatchaman - I bought up to episode 46 but the price is getting way too much to get to episode 100.
Popeye - hard to find. Loved it. Looks like they finally have 3 DVD sets for $96. Not sure if it's worth it or not (list)
Popeye the movie. Robbin Williams. I loved it. I watched it like 3 times at a store.
Voltron - I tried watching it again but every episode is, let's form the sword, cut monster in half, repeat over and over. They like never use anything new to beat the monsters.
The Smurfs - I'm not sure I can rewatch that show.
GiJOE - hated it cuz the comics were 50x better
Transformers - watched them all but the comic was better.
The Real Ghostbusters - Had no idea it went 7 seasons. It always bugged me they had to call it THE REAL cuz of the existing show.
I'm watching every episode. I'm up to season 8 of 9. It's worth watching again. What's really interesting is finding all of the appearances by Larry David in the episodes back when you had no idea who he was. It's fun.
I still have this TV from 2005. It only has one problem of a blue dot on it. It's a Panisonic 60 Inch LCD.
I have to imagine TVs are much better. What about This Sony 60?. Costco seems to have some $3,100 Sony 60" TV too.
My only requirements is that I want a 60" and I think I'd like those 3D type TVs if possible. I don't think the above one is one of those. Are only monitors 3D Capable? I'd also like to have a computer hookup better than the POS one I have now. It only does 1024x res.
I have that Sony TV and it`s great. Has some cool features that let you stream internet videos and can hook into your computer`s content (Vista/Windows 7 media sharing.)
The sound kind of sucks... it rattles if there`s any bass at all and this is with the factory settings. They expect people to get a real sound system I guess.
I watched it last night at bedtime. Because of the previous thread about Farmville, I couldn't fall asleep from laughing at the references. The whole thing with Stan Marsh hit home because I have relatives that actually CALL THE FREAKING HOUSE and they actually tell my parents I haven't added them when I don't immediately add them as friends on my Facebook page. And I only got on there because of pressure from friends, so Stan and I have something in common.
LOL - "Water my crops!? Someone please water them?"
After watching all those crime dramas and medical shows it's hard to go back to the 1990s and 1980s and watch those kind of movies again.
For example this movie "COP" from 1993, the cop goes into the murder scene and starts moving things around, not using gloves. And you're like YOU'RE CONTAMINATING THE CRIME SCENE! (from The Shield). Rookie!
It's even worse if you pick medical parts from the 1970s compared to ER and after.
This season is terrible. It didn`t even start out good. Last season started out the old 24, and got lame by the end. The season before that was terrible, and the seasons before that were the show that everyone actually liked. I`m still recording 24 as a weekend meal feature, but FF through majority of the drama dialog, as it`s painful and forced.
A college friend of mine was going on the "Morning Show" to talk about her first book - when Jimmy Fallon appeared and absolutely tried to hijack the interview!
Just looked at the tv schedule and it seems the Caprica 2h premiere is airing tonight at 8pm on SyFy with subsequent episodes to air every Friday going forward.
I wasn't a big fan when they previewed the show but I'll watch a few episodes and see if it improves.
I couldn't seem to get a screen grab. AJ's bar bill:
2 BTL Cristal - $1250.00 (GEEZ)
1 BTL Grey Goose - $325 (I see those around, are they really that much?)
Service Charge - 20 - $315 ($315 for service, wft)
Total Due: $1,890.00 - I can't imagine paying that much for liquor. Glad I don't drink.
