Prince spent way more than he made, and our sources say money was always an issue. As we reported, the estimated net worth of $300 million was grossly inflated. We're told it's less than half that

...how is that cash strapped?

I didn't read the article, but I'm guessing he had a cashflow problem. Much of his total worth was tied up in things like property or the estimated value of intellectual property.

Saudi influence on the events of 9/11 was always pretty well known (Bin Laden's nationality, 16 of the terrorists hailed from S.A., the financing trail, etc.). More and more people are questioning why the U.S. was so quick to go after Saddam Hussein and Iraq, when Iraq's sponsorship of terrorism against the U.S. paled in comparison to that of Saudi Arabia.

I think Saddam made the grave miscalculation of being too vocal against the U.S. and too coy about the status of his WMD program. He really misread the tea leaves, and it cost him.

I will freely admit that I heavily supported the 2003 invasion of Iraq. It was a colossal mistake that has cost tens of thousands of lives, wasted trillions of dollars, destabilized the Middle East, and cost the U.S. prestige / influence around the world (among a litany of other consequences).

I think the redacted 28 pages will draw a similar parallel to the Snowden leaks in that not much of what Snowden revealed wasn't already known to one degree or another. What Snowden brought to the table was irrefutable evidence proving what had at best been just speculation.

If those 28 pages prove that there was a verifiable link between senior officials in the Saudi Arabian government arranging, financing, and backing 9/11, that would be a game changer on a geo-political scale.

Regarding Saddam, we can only speculate but I still think it comes back to oil - though not in the way most people think.

In a nutshell, Saddam's regime was pushing to move away from the existing US dollar backed oil transaction standard to exclusively using the Euro. While this in and of itself isn't much, with Iraq having the 2nd largest proven oil reserve the theory was it would have started a domino effect with other OPEC nations moving away from the dollar as well. Basically an economic "F U" to America. And *that* is what the US government feared most and wanted to avoid.

So no, it was never about taking over the oil fields to pay for the war (which would have been nice if it were true). It was more about maintaining the US dollar as a market standard which is a hell of a lot more valuable. And to no one's surprise, once the invasion was over, Iraq stopped pursuit of the Euro and it was never brought up again.

Conspiracy? Perhaps. But a hell of a lot more plausible than the alleged 9/11 link and secret WMDs. And certainly a little more re-assuring than Bush Jr. wanting to finish what his dad started.

Anyways, mighty big of you to admit that Blue. Respect.

I don't know man -
Samsung also makes bombs for war.
They come out with a model of phone that blew up when hit a certain way..
They came out with a TV that recorded everything you say. Which their response was "Watch out what you say in front of it"
And now they patent the contact lens with a built in camera.

Not really sure I want to ever wear those.
