Party over on Amazon Reviews
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on February 15th, 2018 @ 11:02AM
They deleted all my reviews and banned my reviews. haha. The ultimate problem with reviews is there's ZERO reward for doing them. Once you get in the top 10,000 everyone offers you piles of free shit to reviews. But Amazon doesn't want you to take any of it. Your reward for going up the ladder is being blasted with free shit they don't want you to take.
They run their own program called AMAZON VINE, but they won't let you apply for it and no one knows how to get in. It's random invites. Then they only let you review like 3 things a month.
Pretty much the entire ladder of top 10,000 is banned people so whatever they are doing is obviously not working.
I don't know how I feel after the experience. I learned a lot and maybe can take some of what I learned elsewhere. I definitely do not like Amazon's politics and I hate Whole Foods.
I really enjoyed receiving and reviewing items. Of all the things I was doing, I was having the most fun doing that. So it's a bummer but it was expected the entire time. I thought I was going to last longer though, haha. I only lasted about 3 months after reaching the ladder.

They deleted all your reviews because people were sending you stuff? That is Jacked up! Weren't you spending a ton of time on reviews? Back to more metal detection?

Amazon wants you to take none of the free or discounted items. But offers nothing in return for doing so. Or offers any sort of reward for reviewing items. So it's a big waste of time to review items. What they want is for you to buy 4,000 - 9,000 items then review them, which of course would only apply to a few rich people. haha. Rich people have better things to do with their time.

At least you didn't get banned from buying from Amazon.
I'm afraid I'm straddling that line by all the returns I make because of my comic book collector mindset. I'm hyper picky about collector's editions and hardcovers arriving in mint condition, so my return/exchange rate is about 50%. I've heard you can get banned for expecting perfection.
