I fucking hate Verizon, Switching to T Mobile
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on December 2nd, 2017 @ 9:01PM

Update: working on switching to T-Mobile with two Note 8s' but I have to wait for WEEKS for Verizon to credit us for returning an old phone. They suck. They're doing a deal right now, buy one Note 8/S8 S8 plus and get one free. They make you wait 45 days for the money though. Costco had a deal but they ran out of phones.

Original

They're the best and only carrier but they fuck you completely

Base Line: $77.94
M Device Name $14.08
M Device Name $58.87
ME:Device Name $70.01
Total Current Charges
$220.90

what the fuck man why do you need Verizon. You live in a populated area, any carrier should work and most (all?) let you do calls over wifi so you're always covered at work/home.

Switch carriers and find a cheaper plan. I pay $100/month two lines unlimited with t-mobile. Is it really worth all that extra money for the less than 1% of the time you might be out of coverage?

I have been with T-Mobile for a few years now. I have been very happy with them. Their WiFi calling works great for when I am at home where my signal isn't so great, outside though. Never really had much issue.

Honestly, I sometimes get a signal better than my friend who is on Verizon, in the same spot.

I wanted to add though...While their phone service is great, I think their customer service is lacking.

Every tech company I've ever worked at has always had a plan or some type of subsidy to pay a portion of it not all of my cell phone bill for "business".

You've been there for 20 years already damn it. Ask them to get you a phone.

I'm on Google Fi and pay about $32/month after taxes. But I had to ween myself off of unlimited data -- only get 1GB at that price. Sucks to not get YouTube in the car or Pandora while jogging, but I'd rather have $40 more at the end of the month.

Not sure how many minutes/text/data you need but check out these services. Wife and I don't use much data but we also pay less than $30 a month for 2 phones. With these services you need to bring your own phone.
https://www.usmobile.com/ (uses T-mobile or Verizon)
https://www.redpocket.com/plan (select from one of 4 major carriers)

Check out this list for more options.
