Fidget Spinners
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on May 12th, 2017 @ 1:45AM

Fidget Spinners are a super fad. In fact they banned them from my daughter's school

"Fidget Spinners" seem to be all the rage right now with young people (why didn't I think of that? I could have been writing this email from my yacht!). Well sorry to be the fun police but this is a reminder that we ask that students do not bring toys and personal items to school. We have already seen these become a distraction in class and an issue with "lost" spinners. Please remind your child that they are not to bring these to school as they will be confiscated and held until a parent comes to pick them up. We also want to remind you that students are not to bring balls or playground equipment from home. The only exception for this is if a child has a specific item they may bring as written in an I.E.P (Individualized Education Plan). Thanks for your help on this!

At the high school, CATZ said the kids are all playing with them.

At 7-11, the lady said people kept calling non stop about them. However, when she got a box of them, no one came in.

Amazon has 45,000 results. I swear it just had 6,000.

And there's even a subreddit at https://www.reddit.com/r/FidgetSpinners/

I only learned about them because they kept coming up on Amazon Giveaways. I got one for $1. I was able to spin it for 3 minutes. haha.

Back in my day we had cardboard milkcaps and we liked it just fine.
