Amazon Review Ranking
Posted by: Nebuchadnezzar on January 22nd, 2017 @ 5:01PM

1/21 - YAY I broke 100k!!!! Top Reviewer Ranking: 91,879 Helpful Votes: 123

1/18 - Ranking: 113,525 - Helpful Votes: 116. Ranked up again!

I've made reviews over the last 19 years but I haven't really tried. I decided to try to see if I can move up in the rankings. I worked all week and got from 950k down to 510k. I hope to continue to rise in the ranks to earn prizes or who knows. I wish I would have been doing it this whole time.

I also want to work on my writing/reviewing. I checked out some of the movie reviews but I think those guys are like 1000x better than I ever will be on those.

If you want to follow me and my reviews it's https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/AFU0E4Y2ZIDL4?preview=true. I also keep updating my wishlist as I build up my survival kit and search for things to build it up. Right now I'm just short of the very important thing, food and portable food. haha.

1/17 - I'm up to about $190+ of free crap in one month. I just won some $100 head phones which everyone has informed me are gay pride headphones. hahah. God invented the rainbow. Time to take the rainbow back. I did one review, and they sent me a free $12 coupon for a free razor. Yay.

1/14 - Yay I got another 30k ranks. Top Reviewer Ranking: 121,539
Helpful Votes: 106

1/8 - Made it to the 100ks! ustomer Reviews: 174

Top Reviewer Ranking: 154,280

Helpful Votes: 99

12/29 - I made it up to 265k then dropped to 270k. I need more helpful votes I guess. haha. I've spent a MONTH now reviewing items. I've reviewed like 150 things. It's helping me at work. I had to do some text and I was used to doing it, by then. haha.

Three times now I (3) starred an item and the people sent me another "free" item to hope to fix the review. You could totally exploit that if you wanted but I won't. They hope you'll fix the review to (5) stars with a free item.

Someone emailed me to try to give me free things for reviews + pay me over paypal. Since that's against the rules AND their free items blew, I am passing. I want to get invited to Amazon Vine but there's no sure way of doing that.

12/14 - Update: climbed another 75k ranks. yay haha
Ranking: 474,751

I've been reading the Reviews on these of people who actually lived off them OR I was thinking S.O.S. Rations Emergency 3600 Calorie Cinnamon Flavor Food Bar or Dump one of those $75 buckets of food in your car.

I question the making friends. :-)

It's a sarcastic cheesy line I ripped off a kid in my class in high school. He'd tell people that. It's super funny if people actually believe you're 100% serious.

As a passive aggressive, anti-social, introvert (I really do hate going out into the world), I am going to steal this if you don't mind.

This really did make me laugh.

I have to say that my faith is shaken in the Amazon review system. I was always conceptually aware that some reviewers received free or reduced price products. However, I wasn't aware of how pervasive the practice had become. I mean, if sellers are courting a rank 250k reviewer this aggressively, imagine how hard they go after top-500 reviewers. Those folks must have garages filled with free product.

They've taken a lot of steps since October to purge the whole system. I'm sad because I shoulda spent the last 20 years in on the dirty reviews haha. I woulda got tons of free things. People got PAID too. 650 people got their reviews deleted and banned from doing them I think.

I've been using ReviewMeta.com when it comes to looking at Amazon reviews. Seems to help weed out the questionable ones. They even have an add-on for FF and Chrome.
