1/12 - Looks like maybe 2 more months to find out on my application.

12/2 - Application still says in progress.

Update: 9/23/2016 - Dammit. Went on their site and found out the wait time is 5 fucking months!

Sent in my application yesterday. I hope I make it.

Update: filled out most of my application and collected pictures. I have to renew my US passport first, then use that on this one. I'm also waiting for my mom to copy the docs and send them to me.

Original Post: Looks like I might be a Canadian Citizen by default. I just need $75 for the application. Poor as f. I'm 1 paycheck away from disaster. :(

Dude, if your wife / baby mama isn't working a job that produces steady income, it's time to make that happen.

Haha falcon is probably right.... or you could have her sell Plasma. She can do it while the kids are in school.

When I was out of work for 2 years I sold plasma. Hated doing it, but it was close to $300 a month in non-taxed income. If you are a fast bleeder and there is no wait, it only takes an hour (you go twice a week). You probably make more in Cali too.

I agree with BlueFalcon, time to crack the whip. No free rides! I can`t imagine trying to get by with kids and in your area with a single income, even a pretty nice one.

I have to defend HotLikeMe. A stay at home mother is a great thing for raising children if you can afford to live on a single income. You do need to have saving more than one paycheck though. Stop unnecessary spending, take less trips, get rid of pay channels, ect.

Start eating well and working out. Health discipline opens the door to discipline in the rest of your life.

I'm also going to defend your baby momma. The cost of daycare for your youngest (if she's not in school full time) would eat half her paycheck. If she has a way to work while they're in school, then great. Otherwise, kids need their parents, no one will care for them like good parents do. I think that's one big thing that's wrong with the world. Family is breaking down, kids are bitter and they grow up to be indifferent or complete a-holes (or worse....). There's always the rare exception.

I think it's both amusing and disturbing that we're passing judgment on Nebu's baby-mama (aka HLM) on a public forum with limited information. With that said, here goes...

From paying attention over the years, here's the facts that I can recollect:

-HLM has a background in accounting. She hasn't worked a traditional job since having a child (M. Bacon) in January of 2008.

-There is some outside income from HLM involving rental properties in Oregon. It doesn't seem to produce much income and I think there are other members of the family with a financial interest. The properties require occasional "vacation" trips which sound like drudgery.

-HLM has hording tendencies and Nebu makes no mention of any outstanding homemaking qualities (eg. great home cooked meals, good financial planner, great budget shopper, etc.). Nebu makes no complaint about HLM's motherly qualities, so I assume that area is good.

-M. Bacon is 8 (turning 9 in Jan) and is likely starting 3rd grade. E-kid, HLM's child from a prior relationship, is probably around 14 now and should be in high school.

-Nebu's career has not advanced. His salary and bonuses have been cut. He has gone into his 401k and savings to pay for things like housing. His expense structure has gone up due to vacations, inflation, and added structural expenses (primarily housing and everything that is associated with it).

If these facts paint a mostly accurate picture of the situation, the necessary action is crystal clear. HLM needs to get a job. At worst, she should be able to make $30-40,000 per year. I believe $60-70,000 could be in range as well. A full time job during normal business hours would have minimal impact on the parenting of M. Bacon and E-kid. There might be minor expenses for pre or post school care. At this point, E-kid can watch M. Bacon for a few hours here and there. During the summer, there's summer camp. Yeah, it's an expense, but M. Bacon would be socially active and the cost of the camp would certainly not exceed the income that HLM would produce.

From 2008-2013, an argument could be made for HLM to be a stay-at-home Mom. Now that E-kid is older and M.Bacon is a full time student, there is no compelling economic reason for HLM to remain at home.
Nebu is in a financial death spiral of a stagnant career coupled with rising costs at home.

Nebu: You need to fucking snap out of it man. Back in 2009, a now relatively well known Internet blogger took you to task for not holding HLM accountable. He more or less predicted what your life would become. Take some time to re-read the piece. Take the lessons to heart and make some shit happen.

Roosh rips Nebu's ass

EDIT: fixed minor grammar errors

What's funny is that Trump won and it's Nebu who is seeking Canadian citizenship!
