It seems like Solar Panels are the newest scam of our century where they lock you into long contracts and steal all your money while you think you're saving money. Thoughts?

I thought of it as a hedge on energy prices going up over time. If they do, you'll be fine with a PPA... theoretically there isn't a lot of difference between that and financing installation of solar yourself. If not, you lose.
