I hate craiglist people but my baby mama makes plenty of money at it. She's made $1,500+. So I've wanted to get rid of my salt tank forever. It's such a pain, you have to drive 45 mins to get water for it.
I got an offer, and it was kinda weird. The person wanted to see it RIGHT NOW and mailed 2 times about it. Then we gave them a text and they wanted it now now now. They wanted us to send pictures of it. We did. They seemed way the fuck to eager. We asked to see pictures of their other tanks and they suspiciously weren't able to do it.
Then we delayed them until the next day and at 8:52 a.m. (we said 9), they were calling again and again to get it. WTF. Eventually we made up some story and didn't sell them the tank. Unfortunately we gave them our address and I hope they don't try to pull anything. It's possible they were legit but both of us were getting some really weird vibes from them. They'd call like 3 times in a row.
Usually we meet at some offsite place to do exchanges OR for the big stuff, drag it outside and don't let them in our house. But with a fish tank, it's a little harder to sell.
Fucking craigslist. I want the money but I think most times I'd rather lose the money than deal with craigslist people.COMMENTS (6) | STUPID SH*T | DIGG

|Given that you aren't some amateur fish-tank-guy enthusiast, I'd imagine there has to be a more specific hobby-related message board you could sell your stuff from.|
Have you checked out any aquarium-related subreddits? I really would be surprised if there weren't some trading post you could find to help get rid of your shit.

|reefcentral would be a good place to sell it, but you have to have a minimum of 50 posts before you can sell stuff on there.|

|You can't drag a whole fish tank somewheres. They want to see it turned on and working.|
