If you're gonna be spending 70% of the game staring at your character's ass while it runs, you might as well make it the opposite sex.

I only play male toons because I am a male. I do not enjoy playing with barbie dolls. Nor do pixelated cartoon women turn me on.

That is some creepy, perverted reasoning Blazer. Pixels!

Since the idea is to play the role of a hero and whoop large amounts of ass, I always make my character a dude.

The only exception was once I made a shaman in WoW that was a female orc. The reason being that she was going to be a PVP character, and male orcs are huge and easy to target on the battleground. Still, I regretted it for a long time.

I happen to agree with Blazer. Also, I find people are a little more patient when partying with a female character, and one is more apt to get help with quests and advice.

Femmes all the way down. I know several like that. Getting help is sometimes easier, nerds rage less, and the aforementioned ass is fun to look at as opposed to some big and bulky dude. Yep, Show Cloak is definitely turned off in WoW. I'll probably play all females in D3, too.

I do have one male character though. 2nd character I ever made and he's a whole level 24 - 3.5 years later.

I`ve always thought it was really weird that people play opposite sex toons in online games. I think of the character as a representation of yourself so that makes me think people wish they were the opposite gender.

That being said, I always assume someone is male in games until proven otherwise.

This is kind of a weird question for me. Up until a year ago, I would have said the opposite sex as I portrayed myself as male at the time. However now I would say the same sex as I have transitioned am fully a woman.

Female mostly. Free stuff, free advice, free dungeon runs, free everything. Manipulation wins.
