Can`t be true! Nazis were evil! Everything they did was evil! Everything the liked was evil! Everything they had contact with was contanimated with the essence of evil!

When will people ever get over Nazi-hysteria?

It's France. Does this really surprise anyone? More Americans died defending their country than their own people and they would disrespect the graves of American soldiers. I would believe this about France. After all, they made the white flag famous. Why wouldn't their women succumb to the enemy?

Disclaimer: I hate France.

567,600 French died in World War 2. 418,500 Americans died. However, admittedly, almost no American civilians died and about half of the French dead were civilians. Still, we`ve got to keep in mind that France also had a way smaller population (131 million to 41 million).

Also, keep in mind this is only 20 years after World War I. In WWI, France lost 1.7 million people (almost all military), while the U.S. lost 117,000 almost all military. US`s population was 92 million, and France`s was almost 40 million.

This all pales in comparison to Russia, of course, who lost 3.3 million in WW1 (out of 159 million total people, and then 23 million in WW2 (half military, out of 168 million people).

Yeah, but how many of those Frenchies were actual soldiers and how many were civilians/Jews/etc.? I also have a strong disdain for France, I think they show an enormous amount of disrespect towards us despite the American lives lost to defend their worthless country. As far as I`m concerned, we should have let Germany have it. They don`t deserve it.

More American soldiers died than French soldiers? Then why are you defending the cowards? I`m pretty sure forest was referring to WWII so your stats on WWI are not up for argument. The point is that we went there to save their a$$es from the Nazis and they spit in our faces.

It pissed off every patriotic American when we found out the French were desecrating our American soldiers` graves. As far as I`m concerned, they`ve made their level of appreciation very clear. I also hate France, they`re a bunch of white flag wimps.

Looks like they're making good progress moving onto the French-hysteria ;).

Those anti-war jerks with their nuclear energy, four day work weeks, and universal health care. How can you trust a nation guided by so strange a moral compass?

I have to say I have a lot of respect for the spirit of the French people, as they're actually willing to go out on the streets in mass protest of things they don't like (even little things). Here we watch the implementation of 'free speech zones', wiretapping, and outright criminal offenses by the government, the robbery of the will of the people through the use of lobbyists... and the closest we come to taking to the streets is picking up some take-out.
