Washington state is pretty cool. Seattle and the San Juan islands in summer especially.

IN RESPONSE TO: The Navy’s Amazing Ocean-Powered Underwater Drone

The U.S. military has some amazing tech., and is clearly the strongest in the world. For now. But...

How long can it be maintained with an economy in decline and corporations that are abandoning the shores of the U.S. for cheap labor and operating costs elsewhere?

So what is the point to having an awesome military for a few decades and then going into an economic tail-spin?

The U.S. govt. is also losing the support of the populace in starting new engagements as well, as seen by the reaction to Syria.

Oh, sorry for the double post but I`d also recommend listening to episodes 255 and 256 of Dan Carlin`s Common Sense podcast. He has cutting analysis of this kind of stuff. Listening to it right now and he`s really spot on about what`s going on- and he`s been saying it since 2006 or so with archives of older podcasts to prove it.

    100% agree.

The scary thing is it seems like all the traditional media and organizations are all for it along with the government. It`s only the representatives from the newest forms of media like podcasts, twitter, youtube, etc. that I have seen really calling it out.

Saw your link to the history channel picture and thought I`d throw out a recommendation for Dan Carlin`s Hardcore History podcast. It`s got some amazing perspective and analysis. There`s still good history entertainment available out there even if the History Channel is failing us! http://www.dancarlin.com/disp.php/hh

IN RESPONSE TO: Turd or Douche?

I would argue that it is a wasted vote not to vote who you most align yourself with because they`re not one of the entrenched two parties. Part of what is most wrong with the political system is that it is a two party system with all other parties basically locked out.

It is important to look at all the candidates, their track record, and what they believe in. Not just Romney and Obama. It is most definitely not a throw away vote if you go with a 3rd party. By voting who you agree with the most you are helping to represent the true will of the American people. Excluding a wealth of choices just because they`re not red or blue is a big mistake.

There is a whole spectrum of legitimate parties out there such as the Constitution, Libertarian, and Green parties for starters.

Definitely start with the first game imo. The series is built as a continuous story with characters and decisions that carry over from game to game.
