What an amazing ride its been - since the beginning, I've always said Trump was the only one who could beat Clinton - now it happened. The entire polling industry is finished.

Agreed. It is sad how we see the media - even today - continue to attack Trump with the same intense left-wing bias.

    Time to move on everybody.

IN RESPONSE TO: Sunday Election 2016 or our nightmare

nate - nor are any other members of the GOP establishment "man of the people" - the fact is that the GOP just can't relate to the typical person, and sure we can say a lot of negative things about Trump - he obviously is less than ideal - BUT he certainly is more relatable than any other insider GOP candidate.

Sadly the GOP will be a mostly fractured party after this election is over - not sure if they can rebuild from this. In particular, hard to see how they would ever elect another "outsider" - and its hard to see how any future GOP candidate would truly trust the party to support them.

killer6600 - perhaps illegal regarding rigging of DNC primaries is the wrong word - its certainly flying in the face of a democratic vote, if the party itself prevents one of its candidates from fairly competing in an election.

In terms of the e-mails, I think we can agree that the decision made over the summer was wrong, just as the decision made now is also wrong. Its pretty clear that the evidence is there, but it may be covered up, or perhaps one day it will come out - we may never know.

In terms of elites/country club - sorry but theres a big difference between Trump, who represents the ordinary folks, and any other GOP insider who clearly represents their own interests. If you've got big money, then go with an insider. If you're an ordinary person, Trump is out there to support you.

Let's see what happens on Tuesday. As I said many times to many folks, if your a GOP voter, vote for your candidate - you still have a chance.

One other thing I would add - if you look at the UK media websites, they have been speaking more about how Trump is closing in on the polls or exceeding on the polls, whereas US media websites and newspapers are simply downplaying this. Why is that? Why does the media have a hidden agenda to get Clinton elected?

When Trump says the election is "rigged" - again the media says that Trump is hating on the entire election process - but not really - he's really talking about all this obvious media bias and rant that has gone on, along with all the bias at the FBI - if they had done their job, they would've impeached her in the summer as they were supposed to.

IN RESPONSE TO: Sunday Election 2016 or our nightmare

I’ve never seen an election like this where it seems that the media is doing everything it can to unfairly support a single candidate versus the other.

Everyday, I see new stories on here, on Drudge, on Brietbart, on Fox News and on dozens of other websites about Clinton and all the bad things she and the party have continued to do. Yet none of those stories appear anywhere in the mainstream press, or if they do they get little air time. I was shocked when Clinton attempted to use misdirection regarding the initial Wikileak in the summer by stating that it all came from Russia and of course Trump supports Russia - the media jumped on it. Does it matter where the e-mails came from? Of course not: Its what is in the emails that matters the most, and its how Clinton didn’t follow critical policies regarding the security and clearance of those e-mails that matters the most. These are not trivial matters - this is bigger than Watergate, and should Clinton be elected she will likely be impeached or forced to step down and Tim Kaine will be the new president.

Yet the media doesn’t seem to get a clue around this - they keep saying that Wikileaks and Russia are conspiring to affect the election. I’m sorry, but if a presidential candidate commits a crime, is it OK to keep that crime hidden away? And why is it OK not to talk about Clinton’s e-mails, but its absolutely OK to talk about Trump? Yes lets put Trumps hot-mic interview, taxes and other past topics on the cover page, and keep it on the cover pages. The left slant that I’ve seen in this election is just ridiculous and very disingenuous.

When the FBI came back with new evidence, once again the media criticized the move, and Hillary went back to her misdirection trying to blame the emails on the Russians and using it as an attack against Trump, even though this isn’t about the source of the leak - its about whats in the emails! Yet the media bought it, and now put articles attacking the FBI along with Clinton - makes no sense.

What about the whole scandal in the DNC, where they rigged the primaries against Bernie Sanders? Are we really gonna say that Clinton or Clintons aides were not part of that at all? More importantly, did anyone in the media truly investigate it?

And in the past week since Trump has climbed back up in polls, the media has been scurrying around to try to get more dirt - taxes, his wife working illegally here, anything else they can find - its such a left slant its hard for me to trust a single newspaper ever again.

The media will argue that they have actually spent more time promoting Trump vs any other candidate - I simply don’t buy it. You can believe that there is no such thing as bad press, but thats all its been: bad press. All the things they say about Trump: racist, fascist, ego-maniacal - these are all things they said about him when he first announced he was running. The point is - there has always been a very loud majority in the press that has been against Trump, and in this election it is very clear that only one side is getting the fair treatment vs the other.

I really hope Trump wins, but the reality is that he is the underdog, as was all the other GOP candidates. Trump isn’t perfect either - Like most people, I was impressed with Trump’s capabilities early in the primaries - particularly the fact that he is an outsider, not funded by special interest groups and he wasn’t part of this “country club” of elites and business interest groups who seem to seem to dominate the GOP membership. But the fact is, in this race against Clinton he has lacked focus, often coming in unprepared. I was not happy with any of his debates against Clinton. Although, ever since he has rebounded in the polls, it seems he is back to where he was right when he began this contest - he is again more focused and on point.

For any member of the GOP, you need to get behind your candidate, because if you don’t your just going to get Clinton elected. Don’t listen to the media, who all want Clinton to win (Chances are Clinton won’t remain in office long anyway once she’s impeached). Trump isn’t perfect, but he’s definitely not as bad as Clinton.

IN RESPONSE TO: Election & Debate Follow-up

I really have mixed feelings about the debate - I had expected huge attacks from Trump but it just seemed like a letdown - he started strong enough but he just let Clinton go after him over things like his businesses, etc - Trump seemed to focus on defending himself in an awkward manner each time rather than changing the topic and continuing to attack her.

Case in point: Trump should have and could have hit Hilary hard over the email scandal but he really didn't. He also missed opportunities to go after her husband.

I think it just comes down to the fact that he didn't rehearse / prepare - I mean I just don't think he's taking it seriously enough but now it seems that this has been a huge wake up call for him.

It also certainly doesn't help that the media is completely one-sided and just showing you the pro-Hilary side of the story and the anti-Trump side. Seems like every day I see articles on here that reveal very legit issues with Clinton and her campaign and yet it never becomes mainstream - in this manner it's a really tough election and it really seems that the media is trying to coronate Clinton. Really sad times when the media try to elect the candidate rather than the public.

    IN RESPONSE TO: Gopro?

Its funny you say this - I just convinced another friend to buy a new GoPro 4 this week. I got my GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition when it first came out - at a time when there was no 4K video available on a cell phone, a point-and-shoot camera or on any consumer-grade camcorder - the only DSLR that shot 4K at the time was the $15K Canon 1DC - a camera with no auto-focus capability while shooting in video.

I bought the GoPro - not because of the 4K actually - but because I was looking for something fundamentally different for video recording. Ideally, I was looking for a single solution for photos and video - but like I said, most DSLRs do not have auto-focus for video (they are only starting in this direction now with the Canon 1DX Mark II which has Dual Assist AF and allows a person to easily find focus using their touchscreen viewfinder).

I did not want to buy a video camcorder, as these were generally going out-of-fashion, and my old one was still fairly big and bulky. I had also considered buying a smaller camera such as a Sony NEX dedicated for video - but again I'd have the same focusing issues and also be stuck with two cameras.

So I went with the GoPro - predominantly because it was different in its design - extremely small - and that it was very extremely rugged in use. I can basically give it to my 3 year old and she can through it around and it will still be good to go - you can't do things with DSLRs that you can do with a GoPro.

That said, now that cell phones have 4K capability, the advantages of GoPro are less so - I would still prefer the fact that the GoPro is much more discrete vs a cell phone. There are certainly disadvantages - including the fact that you always have that wide-angle perspective (which is also an advantage), and that the system in general is extremely utilitarian - at $600+ which is what I spent when the GoPro 4 first came out, all you get is the camera and the waterproof cases. Necessary attachments like the 3-way handle and LCD screen are separate expenses, and I do not recommend using a cell phone as the LCD as it kills the battery quite quickly.

I noticed you did get the Silver edition which has the integrated LCD but it also lacks the ability to record 4K at any decent speeds - I believe the max was 15 fps for 4K, which is kinda useless for most applications. Best option would be to return it for a Hero 4 Black which can be much more versatile.

As far as what to use a GoPro for, I use mine for everything video - I think that is a common misconception that a GoPro is purely for action video - I really disagree. GoPro's size and ruggedness put it at an advantage compared to other recorders and it can essentially be used for just about anything.

That said, I would also consider waiting for the next GoPro, which is rumoured to be 8K resolution - so basically just like the Hero 4, the next GoPro model (Hero 5?) will have capabilities that no other device will be able to perform at a very reasonable cost.

"I don't understand the logic why you'd need to go there because you paid for it. Especially when noone wants to go."

Isn't that the basic problem behind Season Passes? You pay so much up front for something and then you feel guilty if you don't go. In fact, this is what amusement parks are counting on - for folks to buy season passes and then never show up at the parks.

At least you still have the Old Fastpass ticket system there. The new one (Fastpass+) at WDW is god-awful.

I just got back from WDW a few weeks back and it was so sad seeing Soarin closed - there was little warning too. We had booked our trip 7-8 months in advance only to find out one of the best rides is shut down. :(

Don't forget Aladdin is closed too now and is Innoventions still open (the place right at the exit to Carousel of Progress?)

I'm going to Disneyland next February - any recommendations? In particular are there any crazy-popular restaurants that must be booked months in advance?

IN RESPONSE TO: Guests Celebrate New Ship Announcements | Disney Cruise Line

This is pretty big news - they've had the Dream and Fantasy dedicated to the Bahamas and Caribbean respectively while the older (and smaller) Magic and Wonder do pretty much everything else - so it's good to see the expansion.

At the same time, I hope Disney continues to keep their fleet small - I think this is primarily the reason why their cruises are far and away better than anyone else. Really I think of their cruises as the "Disney experience" personalized and its quite different than anything else.

I do hope they bring out the Magic Bands eventually to their fleet as well - they are pretty cool to have in the parks.
