I`m not trying to be "that guy" but it`s galleon, not gallon.

Very cool. I love seeing model train setups like this. It just hearkens back to a more innocent time. The port with the waves coming in looks especially great in your photos.

I voted for Bush but him coming out against Trump will do nothing but shore up Trump`s support with people who have grown to hate the establishment (which is most of us.)

IN RESPONSE TO: Dunkin Donuts are so gross

Despite the name, they`re really not known for their donuts. People go there for the coffee which, at least around here, is pretty consistently good.

"Not surprised. A persons body is just that, their body. They have all the rights to it. You might as well be islamic you religious nut job."

The aborted fetus is living human tissue with DNA that is unique from the mother`s. She`s housing another human body within her body.

    IN RESPONSE TO: Trends

Nonsense! Well maybe it`s not nonsense. I get your point but I am biased. I`ve been wanting to grow a beard since I was a kid. I can`t say why but I always did. Now I work from home full time so I don`t have to worry about looking professional for the office. And it`s pretty much fashionable now so the wife and family don`t really care either (my Mom actually likes it.) So I tried to grow one a couple of years back and found out that I have decent genetics for it. I like how I look with it. And I think, for many guys, it does improve his look. I`m not talking about the hipster look either. I`m talking about looking like man, not playing at it with skinny jeans, tight fitting flaneIs, etc. It goes beyond your age and certainly isn`t tied to the hipster lifestyle. In fact I`ve see tons of bearded old guys where I live (which is not even an hour out of NYC and it`s not hicksville) and I like the look. Some look rugged, some distinguished, etc. It`s certainly not for everyone but personally I hope the style never goes away completely. In a world where masculinity is so often demonized, there`s something I like about growing a good thick beard as only a man can do.

Plus in laws hate it which pleases me sometimes.

I`m not saying this to make it seem like Bush was great but I believe he used his ranch in Texas as a second White House. They would say he was on vacation when he was even if he was working. I think Putin even visited there.

Pizzagate may or may not be real. I`m not going to pretend to know. But people who are jumping on the "Fake News" bandwagon have to stop and think. You`re jumping on this bandwagon because the media basically told you to. Sure, Pizzagate may be an illustration of confirmation bias but so is the whole "Fake News" gig. Where were all of you when Harry Reid spread the nasty news about Romney not paying his taxes? It was a lie but it got coverage in the media and hurt Romney but nobody cared then and nobody cares now. And that`s just a drop in the ocean of lies we`ve been told over the years. Do not forget that Wikileaks (with their impeccable record) exposed the media. Don`t believe Pizzagate if you don`t want to but don`t go running into the arms of the media either. To them, you`re just a useful idiot.

IN RESPONSE TO: Fucking California Hippies

Whenever I see this stuff or read about such events, I reverse the situation and imagine how everyone would react. Imagine, in this case, that it was white people assaulting a old black man for voting for Hillary. Imagine the rightful outrage. One of the problems is that much of the left acts on emotion. For one reason or another, they do not exercise rational thought much of the time and therefore they lash out emotionally. This isn`t exclusive to the left of course but, in my experience, it does appear to be more common. And when the emotion is rage, the results can be ugly.

IN RESPONSE TO: Whole House Fan

I have whole house fan and it really does a very nice job when you have such a temperature imbalance like that. You need to mess around with which windows you keep open and which ones you close (always keep at least one window open of course.) It gets to be a little like a game but it really is nice for those days when your house gets heat soaked during the day and the outside air cools way off at night.

Every republican running in every presidential election is always a racist according to the libs. And every time they come out with something like "But this guy really is a racist!" They`re experts at destroying someone`s character. It`s how they win. Every republican presidential candidate is also Hitler too. It`s amazing.

IN RESPONSE TO: I Am Overwhelmed by 55 Million Babies Killed Since Roe v. Wade

I`m just getting around to reading the comments here and thanks Charkoth. You basically said what I was going to say. Logic covers much of life but logic does not govern parental concern for a child. We often do very illogical things when taking care of our children. If you use only logic to govern the arguments surrounding human life then you are building a bit of a scary world. The bottom line is that even from the very beginning, the fetus/zygote/whatever is growing and alive and the parents of that life are human making that life human. Logic states that it`s just a collection of cells but then again, aren`t we all? Emotions should come into situations such as abortion. As a man, I tend to shun them in arguments in good part because it makes it so much easier to break down the argument and possibly win. But when it comes to defending human life, you should defend it emotionally.
